AFS Mid Stay Camp

Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to drive one of the snowmobiles you see in the background

Despite that it was an amazing experience.

Pori Trip

My first excursion in 2011 was to the town of Pori for a sightseeing tour.
We stopped by an art gallery.
Visited an elf museum....they're always watching....
And ended with a less disturbing Pori history museum

Caught in the Act

Hey Clover! This is your 'travel guide' speaking. Don't think I don't know what you've been up to. You need help so to convince I'm going to expose you to the world....
Notice how she tries to act all natural, like she doesn't even see the Jet-Puffed Joy.
Perhaps she's simply investigating. Ya know making sure its safe and all that.

She didn't know that I was watching but I'm always watching.

When confronted she blamed sleep 'loping but I'm not buying it.
Halloween was almost a month ago. I had a splendid time because it is a little known fact that on this night...

VAMPALOPES ROAM THE EARTH IN SEARCH OF THE LIFE GIVING SUSTENANCE THEY CRAVE -

CANDY!! What did you think I was referring to?

This past weekend I also attended a festival. Again, there were no other jackalopes but it was still quite the experience. I spent two nights sleeping on the floor of a school. Luckily, my travel organizer came with the needed supplies.

I won't lie when I say I was Tripping during the concerts. I had to keep up my energy after all

Again, I feel there may have been some miscommunication about what I said...

Hello everyone! I've been busy as usual. A few weeks ago I attended Yogabeats and found my inner calm and just this weekend I was at a language course in Kokala. I'm beginning to feel like a minority though as I was the only jackalope in attendence.

I've found time to be 'zen'

Which I needed before getting down to some serious Finnish studies

But what could be more soothing than the sea? *whisper* marshmallows

Oh, and this morning I discovered that apparently my Lope brethern have had a touch more common sense than me (in one way atleast). I now know why I'm the only of my species here -
IT SNOWED! It is only the 12th of October and we had snow!
I cannot help but wonder - is hibernating an option?

Latest Adventures

I arrived in Finland a month ago yesterday. I have had a fabulous time exploring and taking trips. There is a sad lack of marshmallows available though. The hotel owner has mentioned something about 'healthy eating and plenty of vitamins.' however I'm coping the best I can and trying to enjoy my time here despite the withdrawal pains. Oh mallows of the marsh forget me not...

Preparing for my flight.

My night in NY City. Unfortunately my travel assistant did not deem it wise for me to go out and join the nightlife.

My small exercursion to the sea a couple of weeks after I arrived. A lope needs her R&R after all.

It may not be the marshmallow capital of the world, but it has its moments.

Me. The Jackalope and the Wanderer

Let's get something out of the way right now. Most likely you found this from Kim's AFS blog. I'm not denying that she's nice and semi intelligent (even for a human) however the poor thing seems to believe that this trip to Pietarsaari is for her. How ridiculous! However if it makes my chauffeur and travel agent feel better to believe she is the one this trip is about then who am I to take away a little bit of delusional happiness?

Anyway now that that's taken care of I suppose we should get the basics out of the way? Well, my name is Clover and unlike my fellow jackalopes I decided to see if there was more to life than watching people try to hunt me in vain. So I set out from my hometown of Wall, ND to explore the world.

This will not be my first step into different lands and experiences though.

I have made it my goal to be extremely well read and have studied extensively about various cultures as well as history.
I've also spent years wandering deep through jungles and exotic lands

At a more precarious time in my life I also saw fit to devoting a substantial amount of time to spiritual enlightenment. However I did eventually return home. For although I found peace in those mountains worshipping nature and how I was simply a small piece of it there was one thing lacking and without it I simply could not continue my existence...

Marshmallows! Yummy, delicious, puffy, sweet food of the Lope Gods.

Anyway I hope you will check back here periodically to catch up on my latest mischief/adventures.
